Next time you make a bank run on your lunch hour, make sure you grab a bite at one of the new eateries in our branch neighborhoods!

Near our Katy branch is that food no one can deny: donuts. And for the new Hurts Donuts, a gourmet donut shop which prides itself on innovative, handmade and hand-decorated treats twice the size of normal donuts, you can find just about anything for any taste. Something that certainly doesn't hurt about Hurts: it's open 24/7, so you can get your fix any time. They just opened shop in December and they've already gained a cult following. Their shop is located at 9555 Spring Green Blvd. Suite J. Visit their Facebook page to see what yummy creation is coming up next.

Poppy's Links BBQ, located at 17105 Westheimer Road, already has a reputation for serving up some seriously tender and deliciously smoked barbecue. Check out their hours and their menu on their Facebook page.

Next time you're near our Northwest Branch on FM 529, grab a bite at one of four new restaurants.

Bee Fresh, a truly local Vietnamese restaurant specializing in pho and spring rolls, opened in November at 4826 Highway 6 N. and the eatery just had its grand opening on Jan. 15. Bee Fresh lives true to its name with made-from-scratch mayo and pate. While Bee Fresh also serves up an extensive drink menu, including smoothies and boba teas, their Kimchi fries are a go-to menu item.

Juicy Burgers, located at 12341 FM 1960 West, opened in December. The place serves everything you'd want in a burger joint, including shakes, wings, and of course, burgers. But the menu also extends to hawaiian chicken sandwiches with pineapple, brownie sundaes and New York cheesecake swirls for dessert, and breaded zucchini slices and broccoli cheddar bites for appetizers. Check out their hours and full menu.

Patron Grill, 9710 FM 1960 Bypass W. opened November 27. This is the second location for the Tex-Mex restaurant that started in Livingston. Its margaritas and red and green salsas are all popular. The grill also has a lunch menu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., which includes fajitas for one starting at $6.49. Check out their full menu.

If you're looking for a taste of authentic Big Easy, NOLA Poboys opened its third Houston location December 5 at 20503 FM 529. The chain started in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina when a lot of the city's restaurants had been destroyed by the storm. The locations in Houston have the traditional and authentic Louisiana dishes such as red beans and rice, boudin balls, gumbo, crawfish mac and cheese, and of course, poboys; however, they add some local Texas flavor with menu items such as Nolan Ryan Texas Brisket Poboys. Check out their full menu and their various Houston area locations.
